-   Act as focal point in seeking, establishing, maintaining and expanding the Center’s international cooperation relations. Maintain and develop the socio-economic information network with economic research institutes in other countries;

-   Take the lead in developing and implementing international cooperation programs for information exchanges, joint studies and experience exchanges in information, forecast and related areas;

-   Act as a focal point for mobilizing and receiving financial resources from the international community; coordinate with related departments in implementing the projects funded by international organizations;

-   Collect, process and consolidate related information and data for the database of “world economy”;

-   Conduct research on and consolidate information on world economic development that have impacts on Vietnam's socio-economy and provide input for socio-economic forecasting;

-   Be in charge of developing and arranging the implementation of training and retraining plans and programs in the professional areas as defined in the functions and responsibilities of the Center; act as a focal point in organizing the Center's international conferences and workshops;

-   Be in charge of producing information products as assigned;

-   Fulfil other tasks as assigned by the General Director.
